St. Rose will host a Rosary Rally at 3:00pm, in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. It begins with fifteen decades of the Rosary, followed by Benediction, then enrollment in the Brown Scapular for those who wish.

Immediately following the 12:10pm Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Adoration until 6:00pm, when there will be the Angelus and Rosary, followed by Benediction.

Advanced Latin class for adults and teenagers, with an emphasis on liturgical Latin, every Thursday evening at 6:15 following Benediction. If you would like to attend, please contact the rectory.

On Sunday, January 23th, from 11:00am to 2:30pm, St. Rose will host a dinner in the Church Hall.  Cost will be $6 per person or $30 per family.

We will be serving cream-turkey and loose-meat sandwiches, and several soups:

  • Chili
  • Chicken Noodle
  • Cheesy Potato
  • Ham & Bean Soup
  • Pumpkin Soup

There will also be cornbread, plenty of homemade desserts, and tea and coffee.

Come in out of the cold and join us in the Parish Hall (next to the Church at 8th & Chestnut) for good food and good company.

And don't miss the raffles:  a 50/50, and one for a $150 or $100 gift certificate to the Butcher Block in Quincy!

The 12:10pm Mass is cancelled on account of the Requiem Mass for Armenia "Mimi" Engelmeyer, to be held at 10:00am.  Mass will be followed by burial at Calvary cemetery in Quincy, then a luncheon at the St. Rose hall.  (More information.)
 
There will be a 6:00pm Mass for First Friday as usual.  Feast of St. Andrew Corsini, Bishop & Confessor.  Proper on p. 1175, 1023, 886.  Common Preface on page 886.
