Mass of Feb. 24: St. Matthias, Apostle Start: Feb 24 2010 12:10 pm Also the Commemoration of Ember Wednesday. Matthias, one of the seventy-two disciples of Jesus, was chosen as Apostle in the place of Judas. St. Matthias preached the Gospel for more than thirty years in Judea, Cappadocia, Egypt, and Ethiopia. He was stoned, A.D. 80. Proper on pages 1191, 324. Preface of the Apostles on page 886. Feb. 24: Adult Religion Class Start: Feb 24 2010 6:30 pm Adult Religion Class is held at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings. We will go through the official Catechism of the Catholic Church and its Compendium and deal with other subjects as needed.
