Mass of Feb. 23: Tuesday of the First Week of Lent Start: Feb 23 2010 12:10 pm Also the Commemoration of St. Peter Damian, Bishop, Confessor, & Doctor of the Church. Peter Damian, a Benedictine monk, was nominated Cardinal-Bishop of Ostia on account of his learning and high virtues. He rendered immense services to St. Gregory VII in his struggle for the rights of the Church. He retired to his abbey of Fonte Avellano, and died A.D. 1072. Proper on pages 320, 1190, 1032. Feb. 23: Beginner's Latin Class Start: Feb 23 2010 6:30 pm Latin Class for Beginners will be held on Tuesdays at 6:30pm, in the adult classroom in the basement of the Church hall. This class will move more slowly than the advanced class on Thursdays. We will be using the textbook The New Missal Latin, which may be purchased at the rectory. All are welcome.
