31 Masses of Jan. 31: Septuagesima Sunday, and the External Solemnity of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary Start: Jan 31 2010 8:00 am Two different Masses will be said on this day. Feb. 2: Beginner's Latin Class Start: Feb 2 2010 6:30 pm Latin Class for Beginners will be held on Tuesdays at 6:30pm, in the adult classroom in the basement of the Church hall. This class will move more slowly than the advanced class on Thursdays. We will be using the textbook The New Missal Latin, which may be purchased at the rectory. All are welcome.	3 Mass of Feb. 3: St. Blaise, Bishop & Martyr (Blessing of Throats) Start: Feb 3 2010 12:10 pm The Blessing of Throats will follow Mass. St. Blaise, bishop of Sebaste, was beheaded afer terrible torments, under Licinius, A.D. 317. Proper on p. 1174, 990, 886. Common Preface on page 886. Feb. 3: Adult Religion Class Start: Feb 3 2010 6:30 pm Adult Religion Class is held at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings. We will go through the official Catechism of the Catholic Church and its Compendium and deal with other subjects as needed. If you would like to attend, please contact the rectory to arrange to get the necessary materials.	4 Mass of Feb. 4: St. Andrew Corsini, Bishop & Confessor Start: Feb 4 2010 12:10 pm St. Andrew, in his youth, led a dissolute life. Through the unceasing prayers and supplications of his mother, he was converted, became a famous Carmelite friar, and was raised later to the dignity of Bishop of Fiesole. He died A.D. 1373. Feb. 4: Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament Start: Feb 4 2010 12:50 pm Immediately following the 12:10pm Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Adoration until 6:00pm, when there will be the Angelus followed by Benediction. Feb. 4: Missal Latin Class Start: Feb 4 2010 6:15 pm Latin class for adults and teenagers, with an emphasis on liturgical Latin, every Thursday evening at 6:15 after Benediction. If you would like to attend, please contact the rectory.	5 Mass of Feb. 5: St. Agatha, Virgin & Martyr Start: Feb 5 2010 12:10 pm Born in Sicily of noble parents, St. Agatha suffered dreadful torture at the hands of her persecutors, but she was healed on the following night by a vision of St. Peter. Other sufferings were inflicted upon her, and from these she died A.D. 254. Proper on p. 1175, 1048, 886. Common Preface on page 886.	6 Mass of Feb. 6: St. Titus, Bishop & Confessor Start: Feb 6 2010 12:10 pm St. Titus, Bishop of Crete, was one of the most faithful disciples of St. Paul. The Apostle wrote to Titus a letter included in Holy Scripture. He died A.D. 101. Also the Commemoration of St. Dorothy, Virgin & Martyr. St. Dorothy of Caesarea in Cappadocia was beheaded at the end of the third century. She died A.D. 275. Proper on p. 1178, 1023, 886. Common Preface on page 886.
